Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC)

Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC) describes itself as the only independent, comprehensive rape crisis center in Dallas County, Texas. Incorporated in 2007 and a 501(c)(3) since 2009, it opened its 24-hour sexual assault hotline that year and works to prevent sexual violence and support survivors and their loved ones. Survivors can walk in for crisis intervention and advocacy, get case management, legal advocacy and accompaniment to police interviews and court, and have advocates on call around the clock at partner hospital SANE programs. Free bilingual short- and long-term counseling and groups are offered in person or virtually to Texas residents aged 13 and older who are survivors or loved ones. DARCC also runs community education and prevention programs.
