The Des Moines Zen Center, also known as Deep River Temple (Shinsenji), offers a place to practice Zen meditation and examine one's life with the support of a community. Guided meditation instruction is given at every regular practice session, and an Introduction to Zen course teaches the basics of practice. Regular sessions on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings include zazen, walking meditation and dharma talks, and all are welcome.
