Gilda's Club Kansas City

Gilda's Club Kansas City is a nonprofit clubhouse in Kansas City, Missouri that offers a free community of support for men, women and children diagnosed with cancer, along with their families and close friends. It is an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community. Its program is open to anyone with cancer and their loved ones at any stage, from diagnosis through survivorship, and is research-based, led by professionals, offered in person and virtually, and provided at no cost. Offerings include support groups, counseling, classes on nutrition, movement and mental health, and resources and referrals, with an emphasis on social connection. A Kid Support program in English and Spanish helps children understand cancer, name their feelings, learn coping skills and talk as a family. Newcomers start with a welcome meeting held about twice a month.
