Juniper Southern Colorado (Juniper SoCO)

Juniper Southern Colorado, formerly Pueblo Rape Crisis Services, is an independent nonprofit that grew from a grassroots community effort and became its own 501(c)(3) in 2001. It offers free, confidential support to survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones in the Pueblo area, including a crisis hotline staffed around the clock by trained advocates (call or text), 24/7 hospital accompaniment, short- and long-term case management, court accompaniment, help understanding victims' rights and applying for victim compensation, and referrals to other community services. It also runs prevention education for young people and community trainings on responding to disclosures and preventing sexual violence, and serves roughly 250 to 500 people a year.
