Nonprofit grief support center for children, teens, young adults, adults and families · Lincoln, Nebraska
Mourning Hope Grief Center is a nonprofit in Lincoln, Nebraska, founded in 1994 by school counselors who found few resources for grieving families in the state. Children, teens, young adults, adults and families meet in free peer support groups with others their own age who have faced a similar loss, built around a core 10-night program that lets each person grieve in their own way and at their own pace. The center also offers short-term grief counseling and consultation through a team of a licensed mental health professional and master's level interns, an online group for adults grieving a homicide, one-day events such as Holiday Hope and Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, the Camp Erin Lincoln overnight camp, family camp, and referrals and resources. It is not a crisis center.
