Rape Crisis Center (San Antonio)

The Rape Crisis Center in San Antonio, Texas, also known as the Alamo Area Rape Crisis Center, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports people impacted by sexual violence. Its 24-hour hotline is answered by trained advocates, and walk-in crisis services are available during office hours. Counseling is free and confidential with no session limits, offered by bilingual counselors using approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy and EMDR, and it covers individual, couples, family and play therapy. Eight-week support groups serve survivors and the partners, family and friends who support them. The center also offers client advocacy, essential needs help and transportation assistance, and runs prevention education across the San Antonio area from one office.
