The Solace Tree

The Solace Tree is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Reno, Nevada, that has offered grief support for more than two decades. It supports children, teens, adults and families after the death of a loved one, believing no one should have to grieve alone. Age-based support groups run from preschoolers through adults, alongside young adult groups, men's groups, survivors of suicide loss groups, adult Zoom meetings, counseling and summer grief camps for children and teens. Its Good Grief Club brings support into K-12 schools for students who are grieving or struggling, and the Journeys program offers family consultation when someone is facing illness or cancer. Trained staff also respond locally and nationally when schools, businesses and athletic teams face a tragedy, and the organization provides grief education and training.
