Brené Brown is an American researcher, professor, and author who has spent more than two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She holds a PhD in social work from the University of Houston, where she is also a research professor. Her 2010 TED Talk 'The Power of Vulnerability' is one of the most-watched TED Talks ever, with more than 60 million views. Her books include The Gifts of Imperfection (2010), Daring Greatly (2012), Rising Strong (2015), Braving the Wilderness (2017), Dare to Lead (2018), and Atlas of the Heart (2021), all of which reached number one on the New York Times bestseller list. She delivered a Netflix special, The Call to Courage, in 2019. Through her company Brené Brown Education and Research Group (BBEARG), she provides research-based courage and leadership development training for individuals and organisations globally.
