The Coaching Philosophy of Alec J Lotstein

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Alec J Lotstein belongs firmly in the second category. Working across family support around addiction, Alec J Lotstein has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Boston, MA, Alec J Lotstein's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Alec J Lotstein is a clinical social work/therapist listed on TrueCoach under Family support around addiction, based in Boston, MA. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists family conflict among the issues they work with. From their profile: "I specialize in helping adults with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, anxiety disorders, substance use, and compulsive or addictive behaviors." What sets Alec J Lotstein apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Alec J Lotstein's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change.
