The Coaching Philosophy of Angela Helms

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Angela Helms belongs firmly in the second category. Working across addiction recovery coaching, Angela Helms has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in New York, NY, Angela Helms's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Angela Helms is a clinical social work/therapist listed on TrueCoach under Addiction recovery coaching, based in New York, NY. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists addiction among the issues they work with. From their profile: "I often work with people who feel like gambling, sports betting, or other habits have started to take up more space in their lives than they expected." See their directory profile for current availability, fees and insurance.

What sets Angela Helms apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Angela Helms's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change. For clients ready to do real work, this is where that work begins.
