The Coaching Philosophy of Dyan Kolb

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Dyan Kolb belongs firmly in the second category. Working across substance-use recovery support, Dyan Kolb has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, Dyan Kolb's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Dyan Kolb is a clinical social work/therapist listed on TrueCoach under Substance-use recovery support, based in Los Angeles, CA. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists drug abuse among the issues they work with. From their profile: "Change can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to start that journey alone." See their directory profile for current availability, fees and insurance.

What sets Dyan Kolb apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Dyan Kolb's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change. For clients ready to do real work, this is where that work begins.
