The Coaching Philosophy of Garland Willis

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Garland Willis belongs firmly in the second category. Working across alcohol recovery support, Garland Willis has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Austin, TX, Garland Willis's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Garland Willis is a licensed professional counselor listed on TrueCoach under Alcohol recovery support, based in Austin, TX. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists alcohol use among the issues they work with. From their profile: "I am Garland Willis, a Licensed Professional Counselor." What sets Garland Willis apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Garland Willis's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change. For clients ready to do real work, this is where that work begins.
