The Coaching Philosophy of Joanna Doane Ottavio

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Joanna Doane Ottavio belongs firmly in the second category. Working across sexual assault survivor support, Joanna Doane Ottavio has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, Joanna Doane Ottavio's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Joanna Doane Ottavio is a clinical social work/therapist listed on TrueCoach under Sexual assault survivor support, based in Phoenix, AZ. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists sexual abuse among the issues they work with. From their profile: "While I am a therapist first, I am a social worker second, and am passionate about addressing the ways trauma impacts not just individuals, but society as a whole." See their directory profile for current availability, fees and insurance.

What sets Joanna Doane Ottavio apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

But Joanna Doane Ottavio's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change.
