The Coaching Philosophy of Kagey Family Counseling

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Kagey Family Counseling belongs firmly in the second category. Working across substance-use recovery support, Kagey Family Counseling has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Houston, TX, Kagey Family Counseling's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Kagey Family Counseling is a drug & alcohol counselor listed on TrueCoach under Substance-use recovery support, based in Houston, TX. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists drug abuse among the issues they work with. From their profile: "If you, a friend, or a family member is struggling with substance abuse, addiction, trauma, codependency, or disruptive family dynamics, I can help." See their directory profile for current availability, fees and insurance.

What sets Kagey Family Counseling apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Kagey Family Counseling's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change. For clients ready to do real work, this is where that work begins.
