The Coaching Philosophy of Lisa Mawhinney

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Lisa Mawhinney belongs firmly in the second category. Working across bipolar disorder support, Lisa Mawhinney has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Philadelphia, PA, Lisa Mawhinney's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Lisa Mawhinney is a clinical social work/therapist listed on TrueCoach under Bipolar disorder support, based in Philadelphia, PA. Their verified Psychology Today profile lists bipolar disorder among the issues they work with. From their profile: "I'm Lisa Mawhinney, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate trauma, addiction, and mental health disorders." See their directory profile for current availability, fees and insurance.

What sets Lisa Mawhinney apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Lisa Mawhinney's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change. For clients ready to do real work, this is where that work begins.
