The Coaching Philosophy of Thomas P Essex

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Thomas P Essex belongs firmly in the second category. Working across alcohol recovery support, Thomas P Essex has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Seattle, WA, Thomas P Essex's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Thomas P Essex is a clinical social work/therapist listed on TrueCoach under Alcohol recovery support, based in Seattle, WA. What sets Thomas P Essex apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Thomas P Essex's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change.
