The Coaching Philosophy of Valentin Baidetskyi

There are coaches who teach techniques — and then there are coaches who change how you see yourself. Valentin Baidetskyi belongs firmly in the second category. Working across chess, Valentin Baidetskyi has spent years refining an approach that goes deeper than surface-level goal-setting and accountability.

Based in Vienna, Austria, Valentin Baidetskyi's reach extends far beyond geography. Clients come from across the world — some in crisis, some simply hungry for more — and what they find is a coaching experience built around truth, not comfort.

Valentin Baidetskyi is a chess grandmaster and coach from Ukraine, based in Vienna and representing Austria since 2023. He is a two-time Austrian Rapid Champion and played for Austria at the 2024 Chess Olympiad. He specialises in coaching ambitious juniors and adult club and tournament players.

What sets Valentin Baidetskyi apart is not just the results — it is the method. Rather than handing clients a formula, the work begins with a fundamental question: what do you actually want, and what is standing in your way? The answers are rarely what people expect.

The coaching world has no shortage of voices promising transformation. But Valentin Baidetskyi's body of work — built over years of practice, research, and relentless iteration — represents something rarer: a genuine framework that produces measurable, lasting change. For clients ready to do real work, this is where that work begins.
